A 23-year-old MBBS graduate died by suicide at her residence in Risala Bazar, Alwal, on Friday. The victim, identified as T Princy alias Shreshta, had recently completed her medical degree and was preparing for postgraduate entrance exams while staying with her family.

According to police, the incident is suspected to have been preceded by a family dispute. Initial information suggests that an argument over bringing a pet cat into the house may have triggered a series of conflicts. Upset over the ongoing issues, she is believed to have taken the extreme step when she was alone at home in the evening.

Family members later found her and immediately informed the police. Officials from Alwal police station reached the spot and began an investigation based on a complaint filed by her mother.

Police have stated that they are examining all possible reasons behind the incident and are continuing their inquiry to understand the circumstances that led to her death.
