5,600 Kg Of Fake Paneer, Dairy, Chemicals-Laced Pickles And Paste Busted In Hyderabad During Festivals

During the festive season of Ugadi and Ramadan, Hyderabad Police launched a major crackdown on adulterated and unhygienic food across the city. The raids exposed shocking conditions in several food units, especially in the dairy sector.

In Secunderabad, Task Force teams busted a large fake paneer network by raiding multiple dairy shops. Officials seized around 2,600 kg of adulterated paneer in one operation, while over 3,000 kg was recovered in additional raids across the city, taking the total to more than 5,600 kg.

According to police, the accused were supplying low-quality and fake paneer to hotels, catering services, and local shops, selling it as genuine products to make quick profits. Authorities also found that such adulterated food items posed serious health risks to consumers.

Officials stated that strict action will be taken against those involved in food adulteration, especially during festivals when demand for such products increases. Further investigations are ongoing to identify the full supply chain and other individuals connected to the network.
