In a shocking development, a drug raid at a Hyderabad farmhouse has led to the detention of several prominent individuals, including two high-profile politicians. The incident, which took place on Saturday night, has sent ripples through the political and social landscape of the region.

The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE), in collaboration with Telangana Police, executed a raid on a farmhouse owned by former Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy. The operation was prompted by information about an unauthorized gathering at the location. Upon arrival, the police discovered a person brandishing a weapon, leading to a swift response and the individual's capture.

"They immediately rushed to the scene and captured the person who was holding a pistol," said EAGLE Force SP R Giridhar, describing the tense moments during the raid. The police also found another individual in possession of an empty bullet round, raising suspicions of potential criminal activity.

The raid culminated in the detention of 11 people, six of whom tested positive for narcotics in subsequent drug tests. Among those who tested positive were Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Lok Sabha MP from Eluru Putta Mahesh Kumar and the former MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy. The initial urine test for Putta Mahesh Kumar was negative, but a follow-up blood sample analysis confirmed the presence of narcotics.
