As Telangana gears up for municipal elections in 7 corporations and 116 municipalities, the state's top police official, DGP Shivadhar Reddy, takes charge of ensuring a peaceful and lawful voting process. With 414 wards under the selected corporations and 2,582 wards in the municipalities, the task of maintaining law and order is a massive undertaking. Reddy emphasized the importance of conducting elections strictly by the book, aiming to uphold the reputation of the State Police Department and the government.

In his address, Hyderabad Police Legal Advisor Sri Ramulu shed light on the legal consequences of election-related offences. He highlighted the Town Nuisance Act's role in controlling noise pollution and the Motor Vehicles Act's restrictions on campaign vehicles. The conference concluded with a clear message: the Telangana police are committed to ensuring a fair and secure election process, leaving no room for unlawful activities or disruptions.
