In a significant move to bolster border security, Brihaspathi Technologies, a Hyderabad-based IT firm, has installed AI-equipped CCTV cameras along India's borders with Bangladesh and Pakistan. This deployment comes as a proactive measure to enhance surveillance and security in the wake of recent political developments in Bangladesh.
The company's managing director, Rajasekhar Papolu, emphasized the system's efficiency, stating, "Our AI-integrated CCTV cameras capture suspicious activities or objects in real-time, enabling swift response from security agencies." This advanced technology eliminates the need for tedious hours spent reviewing footage, a game-changer for border security. With the ability to simultaneously monitor multiple areas, these cameras offer a comprehensive and proactive approach to border surveillance.
Brihaspathi Technologies has also made its mark in domestic security operations. The company played a pivotal role in securing the Lok Sabha elections by deploying over one lakh cameras at polling booths, ensuring a smooth and fair electoral process. Additionally, they managed the challenging task of overseeing the Mahakumbh, a massive religious gathering, by installing 4,000 cameras to maintain order and safety.
Looking ahead, Brihaspathi Technologies aims to establish itself as a leading domestic manufacturer of surveillance equipment. The company has requested 20 acres of land from the Telangana government to set up a manufacturing unit, with the goal of producing indigenous surveillance cameras. By doing so, they aim to reduce India's reliance on imported components, marking a significant step towards self-reliance in the surveillance technology sector. This ambitious project underscores the company's commitment to innovation and national security.
