India reopens 32 airports after ceasefire with Pakistan

India announced on Monday that it has reopened 32 airports that were temporarily shut down amid recent military tensions with Pakistan. The move follows a ceasefire agreement reached over the weekend between the two neighboring countries.

In a statement, the Airports Authority of India confirmed that the affected airports are now fully operational and open to civilian air traffic with immediate effect.

On the other side of the border, Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority had reopened its airspace on Saturday, signaling a broader de-escalation of hostilities in the region.

India’s leading airline, IndiGo, stated that it will gradually resume flights along the routes impacted by the temporary closures.
