The Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor, a major pilgrimage site in Andhra Pradesh, performed a traditional cleansing ritual known as Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on Tuesday morning.
This purification ceremony is held to prepare the temple for the annual Pavitrotsavams, a significant religious festival set to begin on September 16.
The cleansing ritual took place between 6 am and 9 am and involved a thorough purification of the main shrine and its associated sub-shrines, ensuring the temple is spiritually and physically prepared for the upcoming festival.
