Some of them were seen hanging perilously from the doors, steps, and handles of the train, unable to get off the moving train and risked their lives to avoid waiting another 40 minutes for the next train.

When asked for comment, railway officials acknowledged the delay of the train, and the potential safety risks the women faced, while also pointing out that, paradoxically, many of these women were also among those who wouldn't wait for the next train and would often travel on the footboards of the local trains, sometimes standing the entire journey.

The officials added that they are working on improving the women's waiting rooms at stations and trying to hire more staff to ensure faster emergency response in case of such incidents.
