Allegations linking YSRCPs liquor policy with diseases false, says party leader

A senior leader of the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress (YSRCP) has rebuffed allegations that the party's liquor policy has contributed to the spread of diseases in the state. The leader, who asked to remain anonymous, insists that the policy has actually helped to manage the situation and improve public health.

The leader acknowledged the increase in tuberculosis, gastroenteritis, and respiratory diseases among adults in the state, but emphasized that it is not accurate to correlate these developments with the YSRCP's recent reforms of the state's liquor policy.

"We have seen a rise in tuberculosis cases, especially in rural areas," the leader acknowledged. "However, this is not confined to our state or even our country. Tuberculosis is a global health challenge, and we are working hard to strengthen our health infrastructure to combat it."

Regarding accusations that the newfound prevalence of gastroenteritis and respiratory diseases among adults are due to the recent policy changes, the leader stated "These ailments are, unfortunately, commonplace across the country. Our citizens are gaining greater awareness of these diseases, which leads to more cases being reported. But this does not mean that these diseases were unknown before our policy change. `"

The leader also pointed out that the YSRCP government has boosted health infrastructure and services in the state, emphasizing that this will have long-term benefits for public health in the state.

"We will continue to evaluate and improve our initiatives to serve our people and address any health challenges that arise."
