The tragic end to an promising life has shaken the Indian American community. Akshay Anand, a student at the University of Miami was allegedly trying to climb from one balcony to another at a resort in the Bahamas when he fell and succumbed to his injuries.

The 22-year-old, who was set to graduate just days from the time of the incident, had traveled to the islands along with his girlfriend and two other friends. They were celebrating the end of their academic endeavors, as well as Akshay's recent acquisition of a high-profile internship.
