18-Year-Old Carlos Alcaraz Advances to Semis Without Dropping a Set

Teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz continues to blaze through the Italian Open, leaving behind some of the most established names in men's tennis.

The 18-year-old Spaniard is through to the semifinals after a commanding straight-sets victory over Britain's Jack Draper, who himself had been playing inspired tennis this week in Rome. Alcaraz dropped no sets in the entirety of the tournament, proving his mettle against the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and now Draper en route to the final four.

The youngster has taken the tennis world by storm, and his aggressive style of play, combined with incredible touch and versatility, has seen him beat some of the biggest names on the ATP tour in recent months. Draper himself acknowledged the magnitude of the task ahead of him, telling reporters after the match: "I don't think I played a poor match today. He's just on another level, and I don't think I played a bad match at all."

The rising star is already being tipped as a title favorite at next month's French Open, where he will look to become the first man since Rafael Nadal in 2009 to win the coveted Roland-Garros title on his debut.

With the way things are going, all eyes will be on Alcaraz as he continues to write a legacy for himself on the prestigious red clay of Paris.
