Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin, announced the results of the TN SSLC exam on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. The results are now available on the FastResult app and the official website, dge.tn.gov.in.

This year's Class 10 exam saw an overall pass percentage of 92.88%, with Sivagangai district posting the highest pass rate of 98.31% and Chennai recording the lowest pass rate of 87.60%. A total of 8,17,261 students passed the TN Class 10 exams, of which 4,17,183 were girls and 4,00,078 were boys. Furthermore, 938 students scored 499 out of 500, making them eligible for the Merit List.

In a sweeping move to help students thrive under these challenging circumstances, CM Stalin announced that students would receive Rs. 1000 as compensation for the hardships they faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All incoming 11th-grade students will also receive a one-time fee reimbursement for their school fees.

"These students have endured a lot of difficulties during the past two years. Their future must be secured, and for that, they should be assisted in every possible way," said Stalin at the result announcement ceremony.

This announcement came on the heels of hiking the upper age limit for admissions to plus one courses across schools in the state. The move is intended to help students who appeared for the Class 10 exam this year but failed to secure passing marks.

These results, while incomplete, offer a glimpse of hope and a fresh start for students who have endured an educationally challenging couple of years!
