The Supreme Court of India has ruled in favor of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Bangalore, allowing them to gain control of the Hare Krishna temple in Bengaluru. The dispute over the temple dates back to the 1970s when separate temples in Mumbai and Bangalore emerged.

The top court upheld a previous ruling from the Karnataka High Court stating that the Bengaluru temple, locally known as the ISKCON Bangalore, is a part of the ISKCON society and not an independent entity. Furthermore, the High Court also ruled that the temple in Mumbai, ISKCON Mumbai, is a separate entity.

The decision by the Supreme Court brings closure to a decades-long battle and enables ISKCON Bangalore to continue serving the local community and spread the teachings of Lord Krishna.
