Senior BJP leader Jay Panda discusses Operation Sindoor, the expose of Pakistan's terrorism tactics, and laughs off Bilawal Bhutto's political threats, saying BJP has better dancers.
Pakistan has faced widespread criticism and backlash after the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district last month. The attack, claimed by Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad, killed more than 40 Indian Security Force soldiers and sparked an escalating war of words between the two nuclear-armed nations.
As a show of strength, India launched Operation Sindoor to expose Pakistan's alleged support for terrorism and its exportation of terror tactics across the region. Senior BJP leader Baijayant 'Jay' Panda discusses the operation's progress and goals, advocating for a refocus on Pakistan's terrorism rather than Bilawal Bhutto's threats.
"The Centre's decision to send delegations abroad to brief world powers on Operation Sindoor and expose Pakistan is part of an ongoing reset in India's response to terrorism," Panda says. "This is a welcome development, and it should continue to focus on Pakistan's terrorism problems, not Bilawal Bhutto's silly threats and ridiculous statements. It's laughable that anyone would take a shallow opportunist like Bilawal Bhutto seriously when there are real threats from terrorists in Pakistan to deal with."
Panda's comments come after Bilawal Bhutto, Pakistan's foreign minister, threatened to report India to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over Operation Sindoor. Bhutto claimed the operation violated the Indus Waters Treaty, a decades-old agreement between both nations. Panda sees this as a weak attempt at deflection, and India should continue to stand strong against all threats from Pakistan.
"India has suffered over a decade of catastrophic terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. The entire world knows about the evil role of Pakistan in fomenting terrorism in India and other countries. It is, therefore, necessary to expose Pakistan's nefarious activities to the international community periodically, as the Government at the Centre is doing."
While Panda stresses the importance of exposing Pakistan, he takes a lighter approach when discussing Bhutto's threats, saying BJP has more impressive dancers. "Instead of making statements and issuing threats to the world, if Bilawal Bhutto focuses on learning how to dance like our leaders it would be a much better use of his time and energy."
