The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), a flagship scheme under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has expanded its coverage to rural areas of Assam to reach more unemployed youth. The program, which aims to provide short-term skill training to individuals, focuses on improving employability in sectors such as retail, healthcare, agriculture, and logistics.

With this expansion, rural communities in Assam will have greater access to skill development programs, offering them a pathway out of poverty and into the formal workforce.
