Overwhelmed by the bustling atmosphere in the city of Canterbury, India cricketer Arshdeep Singh voiced his love for the quaint county of Kent, saying it reminds him of home.
Singh, 25, who is currently representing India in the T20I series against South Africa, took to Instagram and shared a picture of the breathtaking countryside that he woke up to every morning in Kent.
The Instagram story showed lush green fields and a clear blue sky with a few white clouds, captioned, "Can't explain the peace of mind" alongside a heart icon.
The Indian cricketer was loaned to the county side Kent Cricket Club last month and has been impressive in the T20 Blast competition.
Kent's all-time leading wicket-taker, Darren Stevens, who is also of Indian heritage, welcomed Singh to the club, taking to social media to say: "Hopefully Arshdeep will enjoy his time in Canterbury as much as I did."
And it appears that Singh has been enjoying his time in the quaint English county so far, also posting a picture of him relishing a plate of churros with hot chocolate, captioned, "Still missing these churros and hot chocolate from a nice cafe in Canterbury."
The post garnered reactions from several Indian cricketers, including veteran Ravichandran Ashwin, who replied in the comments section, "God bless brother."
This news may be music to the ears of Kent's fans, who will be thrilled to hear that their club is making Singh feel at home in more ways than one!
