Hon’ble IT and Industries Minister of Telangana, Shri Sridhar Babu, and Principal Secretary of ITE&C, I&C, Sri Jayesh Ranjan IAS, met with Mr. Chakri Gottemukkala, co-founder and CEO of o9 Solutions, during the 2024 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

During this meeting, o9 Solutions announced plans to establish a specialized supply chain skills academy in collaboration with the Government of Telangana.

The initiative aims to train thousands of high-potential engineering graduates from the state in specialized supply chain skills that are highly sought after by global companies in various manufacturing and retail sectors.

The training will cover essential areas, including industry domain knowledge, product management, artificial intelligence, and other technical skills, ensuring graduates are fully prepared to contribute from day one to the Centres of Excellence being set up by these companies to enhance supply chain planning and execution processes.

o9 Solutions will support this initiative by providing knowledge and industry experts to facilitate training in both physical and virtual formats. The Government of Telangana will assist in accessing educational institutions and physical training infrastructure within the state.

Hon’ble IT Minister Sri D Sridhar Babu emphasized, “Skilling in various sectors is vital for the state, and developing expertise in the supply chain sector is crucial to making Telangana a hub for manufacturing and exports. I extend my gratitude to o9 Solutions for their support in this significant skilling initiative.”

Mr. Chakri Gottemukkala added, “We are pleased to support Telangana in this endeavor, as it will create substantial employment opportunities for the youth in the supply chain processes associated with new investments coming to the state.”
