Galatasaray will confirm the signing of Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich on Thursday,
with the Bundesliga giants ready to cut their losses on the expensive acquisition.
Sane, who joined Bayern Munich in 2020 on the back of a successful stint with Premier League unit Manchester City, is set for a medical with the Turkish champions on Thursday, with the deal expected to be worth up to 4million on a initial loan with the view to buy.
The German international arrived in Munich just 18 months ago for a fee of 49million, but has failed to live up to his billing since moving to Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich were keen to offload Sane this summer having grown frustrated with the attacker's inconsistent form, and lack of enthusiasm to fight for his place in the side.
And it appears that they have found his next club, with Galatasaray set to take over the 25-year-olds services on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
The Turkish giants are believed to be negotiating an option to make the transfer permanent in summer 2024, exercised once they have secured a license to compete in the Champions League.
Sane is set to become the highest-paid player in the club's history, and will hope the move ignites his career, having struggled to replicate his successes at Man City since leaving England.
Stay tuned for confirmation of the transfer in the coming days.
