Telangana's IT sector is on an unprecedented growth trajectory, attracting investments and fostering innovation. The government’s proactive approach to creating a business-friendly environment has led to significant progress in the state’s technological landscape.
One of the key factors contributing to Telangana’s success is the Single Window Clearance System through TS-iPASS, which allows businesses to self-certify their compliance with laws and regulations. This unique system has reduced bureaucratic delays, enabling companies to start operations almost immediately. As a result, Telangana has become a magnet for IT companies looking for a hassle-free setup.
In the fiscal year 2022-23, Telangana's IT/ITeS exports reached an impressive ₹2,41,275 crores, reflecting a 31.44% growth over the previous year. This surge not only showcases the potential of the state’s IT ecosystem but also highlights its increasing significance on the national and global stages. The addition of 1,27,594 jobs in the sector further emphasizes Telangana's commitment to employment generation, bringing total IT employment to 9,05,715.
Looking ahead, Telangana aims to exceed its ambitious goals outlined in the 2nd ICT Policy 2021-26, targeting exports of ₹3 lakh crores and creating 10 lakh jobs by 2026. The government’s continued focus on enhancing infrastructure, fostering innovation, and supporting startups will undoubtedly pave the way for a brighter future in the IT sector.
As more businesses choose Telangana for their operations, the state is well on its way to becoming the foremost IT hub in India, driven by its strategic policies and dedicated workforce.
