The White House has embraced president Trump's new nickname 'Daddy', creating a hilarious social media post featuring the president and the Dutch Prime Minister walking off of a jet together.
The video shared by the White House comes after the president couldn't help but tease the Dutch prime minister, who he nicknamed "Hilarious", about his height, during their meeting on the White House lawn on Tuesday.
After being asked about the state of US-Dutch relations, Trump responded, "Maybe I shouldn't say this, but you seem to be doing really well economically. Even though you're not that tall yourself, you are doing really well."
The prime minister, who is notably tall at 6 feet 5 inches, responded lightheartedly, "You are not that tall yourself sir".
Trump fired back, "I know, I know, I'm president, but you may remember I was tall but they said, 'As president, you cannot be tall enough'."
The crowd laughed and Trump continued, "Hey, by the way, do you know how tall you are? Because everybody thinks you are much taller than me. They say, 'He is one of the tallest people,' and I say, 'He is not tall, but he is the prime minister of Holland.' And you are not that tall."
Prime Minister Rutte responded, "I am taller than you, Mr. President."
Trump then exclaimed, "Oh really? Because I thought you were shorter than me. You know what? Someday, you will see that I am right."
Only time will tell if 'Daddy' Trump's playful prediction will come true, but for now, the internet can enjoy the lighthearted exchange between two height-joking leaders.
The video was captioned, "Prime Minister Rutte and I are welcoming the Dutch Delegation to the White House! We also discussed the robust relationship between the Netherlands and the United States. #DutchDelegation."
The video ends with the two tall men walking up the stairs of the White House, with the caption "Daddy's home" a playful reference to the 1988 comedy film, *Daddy's Home*, starring Mel Gibson and Danny DeVito.
Stay tuned to see if the nickname 'Daddy' sticks!
