Former Australian Keeper Healy Criticises Cameron Green Selection

Former Australian cricketer Ian Healy has shaken up the cricketing world, criticising current skipper Pat Cummins and the selection of Cameron Green in the batting order. The ex-keeper believes Nathan McSweeney, Green's opening partner, is more suited to the number three spot, despite Cummins claiming Green is a "fabulous Test player".

Healy was dismayed by Green's performance at number three in the first Test against the West Indies, where he scored only three runs in the two innings. McSweeney, who usually opens the batting, scored a respectable 44 and 24 in his chance at the number three position.

Healy stated that "Cameron Green, I think, will develop into a number three but, at the moment, I don't think he's suited to that role. I think he's a bowler who can bat". The former player also criticised the decision to drop Usman Khawaja from the team, saying that "when you've got a player of Khawaja's class and ability, and he's in form, then he's got to be in the side somewhere".

Healy's comments could spark debate amongst fans and players alike heading into the second Test, with Cummins and Green in charge of upholding Australia's formidable reputation in the longest format of the game.
