National Shooting Trials: Young Guns Esha Singh, Parth Rakesh Mane, Vidarsa Vinod Claim Top Honours

Young guns Esha Singh, Parth Rakesh Mane, and Vidarsa Vinod have stormed to the top of the podium at the National Shooting Trials in Pune. Singh, 18, finished atop the women's 25m pistol T3 event, while Vinod, 19, won the men's 50m rifle 3 positions T4 competition. To top it off, Mane, 19, clinched top honours in the men's 10m air rifle T4 event. The impressive performances signal a new wave of youthful talent emerging on the Indian shooting scene.

"It's an incredible feeling to win at such a prestigious event, especially considering the highly competitive field of participants," said Singh, whose score of 577 outrightly won her the women's 25m pistol T3 event, with a margin of 16 points.

The National Shooting Trials, organized by the Pistol Association of India (PAI), saw participants from various states across India. With the recent amendments to The Arms Act, 1959, the sport is gaining more popularity among the youth.

"The impressive performances of Esha, Parth, and Vidarsa testify to the thriving shooting culture in India," said Mr. Bhatia, Secretary of PAI. "These young shooters are raising the bar with their skill and determination."

As the trio of teenage shooting stars celebrate their well-deserved accolades, the future of the shooting sport in India looks bright indeed.
