Xiaomi has unveiled its new AI Smart Glasses at the Xiaomi 12 Series event. The Chinese smartphone maker joined hands with the well-known eyewear brand, Ray-Ban, to produce the smart glasses with onboard AI features. Although Xiaomi smart glasses are not the first of their kind, they do come with a powerful 12 MP camera and voice assistant, which excites consumers.

The smart glasses work on similar lines as that of Meta's Ray Ban stories, with the ability to capture photos and record videos, as well as translate text and identify objects. According to Xiaomi, the pre-installed voice assistant can make the glasses even more powerful, enabling the wearer to snap a photo or record a video with just a verbal command.

In fact, the built-in voice assistant is the unique selling point of these AI-powered glasses, allowing users to perform tasks like making calls, sending messages, setting alarms, and translating texts into another language simply by using voice commands.

Although the Chinese maker is yet to announce the international availability of these AI glasses, they are expected to be priced around Rs. 33,000 in India, with countries like India, China, and Russia in the list of regions where it is speculated to be available.

The smart glasses market has become lucrative, with more companies entering this space. From the looks of it, Xiaomi AI Smart Glasses seem to be a promising offering in this segment, equipped with a host of AI-powered functionalities to make the wearer's life easier.

This new launch by Xiaomi is aligned with the company's vision of creating innovative products that blend in with everyday life while delivering a seamless user experience backed by cutting-edge technology.
