The BJP unit of Puducherry is prepping for a reshuffle in its cabinet as three nominated lawmakers resigned from their positions following a directive from the party's high command. - Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of State P. Rajavel

- Minister of State Mental and Women's Health, M. Vidyasagar.

Therefore, the BJP is likely to appoint new ministers to its Puducherry unit soon as the current team is no longer representative of the party's diversity efforts.

This move is a reflective of the party's efforts to ensure that women and members of the Scheduled Caste population have a voice in the governance of Puducherry, as the remaining members of the cabinet do not represent the required diversity.
