Delhi Capitals (DC) has had a stellar previous season and managed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in several years. Much of the credit for their performance was attributed to the leadership of former captain, now head coach, Gautam Gambhir. However, with the pressure of expectations riding on his shoulders, Gambhir has been warned that the team has all the players they wanted and there are no more excuses.

Aakash Chopra, a renowned cricket analyst and former Indian batsman, believes Gambhir has got every player he pointed at during the auctions and the trading window. The team has a strong batting lineup with the likes of Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, Steve Smith, and David Warner. Similarly, their bowling department is also robust with world-class fast bowlers like Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada. With such a strong squad, the expectations are sky-high for the Capitals to deliver this year.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said, "Gambhir has got every player he pointed at. There are no more excuses. Now, deliver." He also emphasized that with such a strong squad, Gambhir and the team's think tank don't have any excuses to make if they fail to perform as per expectations.

Gambhir, a veteran of over 200 ODIs and nearly 400 matches in domestic cricket, took over as captain of the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2018. Though he couldn't lead them to success as a captain, he has the opportunity to do so as a coach. The warning serves as a reminder of the high expectations from fans and the management.

As the new IPL season approaches, all eyes are on Gambhir and the Delhi Capitals to see if they can deliver under the pressure and bring the championship title home this year.
