The Vivo X Fold 5 is coming to India with top-notch specs and a surprisingly low price tag!
Earlier this month, Vivo announced its foray into the foldable phone market with the global launch of the X Fold 5 in collaboration with Samsung. After intriguing revelations of a possible price tag of around 1,100, Vivo is now all set to launch the X Fold 5 in India alongside the X200 FE.
The upcoming Vivo X Fold 5 boasts a massive 8.03" AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and LTPO technology, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Under the hood, it packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
A sizeable 6,000mAh battery keeps the show running, coupled with 55W fast charging support. The phone will likely ship with Vivo's latest Funtouch 12 based on Android 12, with an Android 13 update expected shortly after launch.
The X Fold 5 will be priced anywhere between 84,000 to 1,14,000 in India, a significant drop from its European pricing, making it a compelling offering in the premium smartphone segment. The phone will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, which currently retails for 1,04,999 in the Indian market.
Vivo has not announced an official launch date for the X Fold 5 in India yet. But with the phone already on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, it won't be long before we see it hit the shelves.
