Season 12 of India's Pro Kabaddi League is fast approaching, and the Bengal Warriorz are gearing up with several exciting signings, including young raider Devank Dalal. Hailing from Gujarat, the 21-year-old caught the attention of coaches and fans alike with his performance in the junior leagues. Now, he aims to replicate his success at the professional level.
"I am extremely proud to join the Bengal Warriorz family. This is a very exciting opportunity for me, and I will do everything it takes to repay the team's trust and perform well on the mat," says Devank Dalal regarding his new venture.
Despite his young age, Devank has already amassed plenty of experience on the pro kabaddi stage. He began his career at the U14 level, representing Gujarat in national tournaments. Eventually, he moved up to the U17 and U19 circuits, consistently impressing with his raiding skills.
Devank broke into the spotlight when he led his state team to a memorable victory at the Junior National Kabaddi Championship in 2018. His stellar performances caught the eye of the Gujarat Giants, who drafted him into their squad for PKL Season 7. Although he didn't get to raider much that season, Devank grabbed the opportunity to learn from experienced veterans and honed his skills further.
Now, as he joins the Bengal Warriorz, Devank plans to take the next step in his young but promising career. With the team's backing, he intends to shine on the pro stage, unleashing his full potential and helping his new team achieve success in Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League.
"I want to be a raider that can win matches for my team, and I am working hard on all aspects of my game to achieve that goal," he added.
The young raider is certainly one to watch in the upcoming season, as he embarks on a quest to establish himself as a formidable force in Indian kabaddi.
