Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda urged young people not to consume drugs for a temporary high but instead to chase the high of success. Former badminton player Pullela Gopichand stated that consuming drugs is the biggest mistake anyone can make and advised the youth to opt for sports instead. The comment came after actor Ram Charan expressed concern over the increased use of drugs among the youth. He added that while drinking soda and popsicles was normal in his time, today's youth are more likely to consume drugs.

Drug consumption amongst the youth has become an organised crime, andActing Ram Charan averred that while his child was homeschooled at present, it was concerning to imagine sending them out in the future given the drug crisis among the youth. Deverakonda spoke of his pride in not having consumed drugs and urged the youth to avoid doing so, opting instead to pursue success and achievements.

While the population has increased numerically, Gopichand believes it has declined physically, making it even more vital for young people to avoid drugs and pursue healthy activities instead.

These comments come as a stark reminder of the need to tackle drug use among the youth and to promote healthier alternatives and achievements in life.
