In a bid to enhance safety and security measures in the city, the Hyderabad City Police has launched safety clubs in several educational institutions. The initiative aims to empower students and young individuals with skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergency situations.
According to official sources, the safety clubs will be operationalized in collaboration with the School and College Education Department and the Child Welfare Department. Comprehensive safety workshops will be conducted, integrating interactive sessions, simulations, and practical training.
The program will be progressively rolled out in 100+ schools and colleges across the city in the first phase. Each safety club will have a dedicated team of student volunteers who will receive specialized training in emergency response, first aid, and crisis management. The initiative envisions equipping young citizens to take proactive roles in safeguarding their communities.
"We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of everyone in the city. With the safety clubs, we aim to educate and empower the young generation with necessary skills to respond adeptly in potentially hazardous situations," said Mumbai.
