DPS Nacharam inaugurates Hyderabad's first traffic park to educate students on road safety

Delhi Public School (DPS) Nacharam embarked on a new initiative to promote road safety amongst students by inaugurating Hyderabad's first Traffic Park as part of a pilot project by the government of Telangana. The Traffic Park, inaugurated yesterday afternoon, will serve as a hub for learning responsible road behaviour and traffic safety awareness.

The Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, who attended the ceremony as the chief guest, emphasized the need to instill road safety values in students, calling it a collective responsibility. He praised DPS Nacharam's efforts and urged the government to introduce similar initiatives in all schools across the state. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar urged students to champion road safety awareness among their families and communities.

The event also marked the official launch of the Research and Resource Department (R&R) for DPS and Pallavi Group of Schools. This department aims to promote academic excellence and professional growth among students and staff.

About 150 students donated essentials such as first-aid kits, stationery, and reusable water bottles as part of the DPS annual tradition, 'Joy of Giving', which was distributed to over 15 NGOs in the twin cities.

Let's hope this effort makes our roads safer!
