Senior citizens to enjoy day out at Numaish

Dobara, a non-profit helping senior citizens, returns with a joyous event. This coming January 21st, the organization plans to treat underprivileged elderly individuals to a day out at the All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish).

The event, known as the Special Age-Friendly Visit, is an initiative that Dobara has organized for the past five years. This year, the non-profit is partnering with the Exhibition Society to coordinate the event, providing wheelchairs and medical support to those in need.

Around 200 volunteers from schools and colleges, alongside the National Cadet Corps, will be on hand to assist throughout the day. Senior citizens will be collected from various homes for the aged in the city and driven to the exhibition in cars.

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., before larger crowds arrive. Snacks will be provided twice during the event.

Mateen Ansari, Founder-Trustee of Dobara, commented that the organization is also trying to provide a small funds for the seniors to purchase souvenirs or items of their choice during the exhibition.

The society is also providing a free train ride, disabled-friendly VIP gates, and parking spaces for all the cars. Dobara is also organizing its own help desk and paramedics to support the elderly.
