Drug-Free MP: Awareness Campaign Launched

The Madhya Pradesh Police have launched a 15-day anti-drug campaign to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The campaign, titled "Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori", will run from July 15 to July 30, aiming to build public opinion against drug abuse and create a drug-free society. The initiative, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the State Police, will utilize public forums, including radio, banners, and social media platforms, to educate citizens about the consequences of drug addiction, offering hope for a healthier society.

According to the official release, the campaign will feature daily activities across the state, including broadcasting through local radio and FM channels, banners, posters, hoardings at public places, and distribution of pamphlets. Additionally, video messages will be displayed on digital screens at bus stands and major intersections. The public awareness campaign aims to serve as a strong and coordinated effort across the state to move towards a drug-free, healthy, and safe society. It also emphasizes the responsibility of society and the public sector to protect the youth and keep them away from harmful substances.

The campaign also outlined strategies to reach out to schools, colleges, slum areas, religious places, markets, and industrial establishments. The campaign will feature motivational stories of former addicts who overcame their addiction. The public awareness campaign, led by the police, aims to play a significant role in moving towards a safer society, free from the threats of drug abuse and addiction. By empowering individuals with knowledge about the consequences of drug abuse, the campaign indirectly promotes a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.
