TCR Launches Two AC Buses from Vemulawada to Mumbai

In a commendable effort to strengthen connectivity with the Telugu populace residing in Mumbai, the Telangana government has launched two RTC Lahari AC bus services at Vemulawada in Rajanna Sircilla district. The decision, taken a month after Telangana Government Chief Whip and MLA Aadi Srinivas met with the local Telugu community in Mumbai, aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by Telanganites in reaching their native places.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the buses would operate via Chandurthi, Rudrangi, Korutla, and Metpally, eventually reaching Mumbai. He added that direct bus services from Vemulawada to Hyderabad and spiritual centres across the state are also forthcoming.

Appreciating the efforts of RTC officials, drivers, and conductors in making the Maha Lakshmi scheme, which provides free bus travel for women, a success, he expressed the forthcoming purchase of new buses and new recruitments.

The government, under the leadership of CM Revanth Reddy, is actively working to improve public transport for the welfare of RTC and its staff, he concluded.
