BSNL has partnered with Karbonn Mobiles to launch an affordable 4G SIM-handset bundle, aimed at expanding access to reliable 4G services across India, and supporting the government’s "Make in India" initiative. The announcement was made on BSNL's 25th Foundation Day, marking a significant step towards increasing connectivity across the country.

The collaboration introduces a SIM-handset bundling offer as part of BSNL’s Bharat 4G Companion policy, which combines affordable smartphones with BSNL’s 4G services. This move will help bridge the digital divide, especially in rural and remote areas, by providing consumers with budget-friendly smartphones that support high-speed internet. As BSNL continues rolling out its indigenous 4G network in partnership with the TCS consortium, this initiative is expected to strengthen its position in the competitive telecom market, alongside private providers like Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea.

The deal also emphasizes BSNL’s commitment to local manufacturing under the "Make in India" program, promoting homegrown solutions through Karbonn’s products. This partnership will offer affordable and accessible 4G connectivity to a wider audience, particularly in underserved regions.
