We are establishing a strategic presence in over 40 countries and plan to expand to 65 countries this fiscal year, says Karbonn. According to research firm IDC's data released in February, Karbonn is the third-largest smartphone maker in India and the fourth-largest mobile phone manufacturer. With a 10 percent market share in the smartphone segment, the company is clearly aiming to surpass Micromax, which currently holds the second spot after Samsung in the space. Karbonn’s Executive Director, Shashin Devsare, shares insights into the company’s plans for the future.
