London calling and the Indian High Commission answered as Team India was extended an invitation for a special meet-up ahead of the fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The team paid a visit to the Indian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Gaitri Issar Kumar, and interacted with the invitees who were specially selected on the basis of their contributions to Indian community initiatives in the UK. The team then presented the High Commissioner with signed bats which will now be displayed at the High Commission for visitors to see.

"It is wonderful to be here. I must say this is one of the most memorable moments of my life. It is a great honour for me to be at the Indian High Commission with my teammates. We are grateful for the love and support of the Indian diaspora and we thank them for their constant encouragement and appreciation," said Shubman Gill, who was accompanied by his teammates at the event.

This was an excellent opportunity for the members of the Indian cricket team to connect with the Indian community abroad and recognize the achievements of the diaspora. With an exciting season ahead, this visit was a great way to boost the morale of the team as well as the Indian community in the UK.
