YSRCP Slams Coalitions 'Illegal' Cases Against Kakani

Congress leader Parvatareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy slammed the state government for what he described as trumped-up charges against former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy. Reddy accused the current regime of plotting to silence the opposition voice by filing cases with no basis, including non-bailable sections, deliberately to ensure bail is denied.

He accused the government of using diversion politics to deflect attention from issues such as the Super Six promise, claiming that such tactics would not work on the YSRCP.

He characterised the timing of the conspiracy to frame Kakani as relating to a High Court hearing and a quash petition, calling it a vicious politics to target senior leaders.

He also alleged that the police broke into Kakani's home to serve notices on him, as he was away celebrating Ugadi in Hyderabad with his family.

The YSRCP vowed to resist such "vicious politics" and warned the coalition government that targeting leaders would not be tolerated, cautioning that it may backfire if the YSRCP regains power.

Mr. Chandrasekhar highlighted photos taken today of Kakani in Hyderabad and stated that he would return to Nellore by Thursday, where he would be available for questioning.
