Developer aims to beautify, reclaim public property in rural Nellore parks

The rural parks in Nellore are set to receive a facelift, with the local MLA, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, aiming to develop and beautify 29 neglected public spaces in the area. As part of the initiative, a three-day programme named Chandranna Parkula Bata was launched to construct compound walls to protect the parks from future encroachment.

The project aims to reclaim public property worth INR 150 crore from illegal land grabbers. The local government has taken a proactive approach, and the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Ponguru Narayana, has extended their full support to the cause. The Nellore MP, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, has also pledged his assistance, ensuring that the initiative will have the attention and resources it requires.

Upon completion, the developed parks will be handed over to the local communities to maintain, emphasizing the collective responsibility to protect and preserve public property.

"We are satisfied with the support from the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Ponguru Narayana and the Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy for their support to take back the lands from the clutches of land grabbers and use it for public purposes," said Mr. Sridhar Reddy. The MLA broke ground on several development projects in the 30th, 37th, and 38th divisions of Nellore Municipal Corporation, which fall under his constituency.

The initiative aims to beautify and develop these public spaces to restore their recreational and aesthetic value and engage the community in taking care of these spaces for the benefit of all.

This drive reflects the increasing focus on developing and beautifying public spaces for the betterment of the community and the reclamation of public property for public use.
