Polling stations in the Nellore City Assembly Constituency will soon be reorganized for better accessibility.
According to the Special Summary Revision-2025, each station will now cater to between 800 and 1200 voters and be located within two kilometers of every voter's residence.
The announcement was made during a meeting at the Command Control Centre of the Nellore Municipal Corporation, which also outlined plans to boost voter registration and address electoral roll concerns.
Party representatives were informed that all objections related to the draft roll have been resolved and that electoral rolls will be aligned with household addresses for sequential listing.
Assistant ERO Shafi Malik, Deputy Tahsildar Anand Rao, Election Superintendent Padmavati, and Chakrapani were also in attendance.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of ongoing awareness campaigns, particularly in degree colleges, to encourage young voters.
Commissioner Y.O. Nandan highlighted the role of Booth Level Agents and Officers in resolving voter issues and assured that training sessions for the latter would be organized shortly.
