One of Andhra Pradesh's most revered sites, the Bara Shaheed Dargah, is finally getting the development it deserves. With a budget of Rs 5 crore allocated by the state's Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, the dargah will soon see a significant facelift.

Speaking at a recent meeting in Nellore, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana outlined the plans, which include the construction of a spacious prayer hall that can hold 20,000 devotees at a time. The project will be undertaken by the Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA) and completed within a reasonable time frame to ensure that preparations are ready for the Roti festival, which is set to open on July 6th.

The Bara Shaheed Dargah holds great historical and religious significance, and the government plans to ensure it is developed in a manner that respects its importance within the

community. While the minister expressed satisfaction with the progress, he also noted dissatisfaction with the delay in painting works in the city's primary areas. Officials were instructed to expedite these efforts.
