Nellore Rural MLA Sridhar Reddy has vowed to address the mosquito problem in Nellore with the implementation of the Domalapai Dandayatra initiative. The programme aims to tackle the urban areas' open drains and unhygienic conditions, breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

With kerosene spraying and oil ball drops in the drains, the MLA launched the programme in the 34th division of Nellore City. The initiative will cover all 26 divisions in his constituency, with special drives in areas of high concern.

The MLA appealed to the public to collaborate with the government by identifying mosquito-prone areas and encouraged the use of Gambusia fish, known as the mosquito fish, to control the larvae when necessary. He also advised the civic staff to use fogging machines, kerosene, and oil balls according to the situation.

With this initiative, the MLA hopes to rid Nellore of the mosquito menace and improve the health and wellbeing of the citizens.
