District Collector O. Anand is implementing new initiatives to accelerate industrial development in Nellore, focusing on streamlined approvals, infrastructure, and entrepreneur financial support. Anand emphasized the importance of industrial growth in job creation and urged officials to remove obstacles to new industry setups in the district.

The collector requested that officials expedite land acquisition, ensure water availability, and provide reliable power supply to new industries. He stressed the need for swift permissions for industrial projects and the effective implementation of the cluster development program. Anand advised officials to collaborate with banks to facilitate PMEGP loans and suggested potential focus areas for cluster development in readymade garments, gold crafts, printing, and notebook manufacturing.

The District Collector instructed officials to select beneficiaries and facilitate loan approval through the Khadi Village Industries Board and the District Industries Centre. The Industries Department General Manager Sudhakar presented a report on the progress since the previous meeting.
