Despite only being founded in 2020, SEIL Energy India Limited (formerly known as Sembcorp Energy India Limited) has quickly established itself as one of India's largest independent power producers. The company recently added to its accolades two awards for Best Healthcare and Wellness Programme, and Best Environmentally Sustainable Programme during the India CSR and Sustainability Conclave 2024.

The first award was given to the company for setting up and operating various community healthcare initiatives. These include a mobile medical unit, emergency ambulance service, health and wellness centres, RO plants, supporting public health centres by providing medical equipment, and conducting several free camps for eye and audiometry checks.

The second award was for the company's decarbonization initiatives. SEIL has installed rooftop solar systems for anganwadi centres and several institutions, such as Vikrama Simhapuri University, IRCS-Nellore, and solar streetlights for Nelaturupalem. They also planted an impressive 32,000 saplings on 80 acres of government offices in the combined Nellore district.

Rajeev Ranjan, SEIL Secretary, and Albert David Peter, CSR Head, received the awards on the company's behalf. Raghav Trivedi, SEIL CEO, expressed his pride and happiness at the team's commitment to community empowerment and sustainability. Looking forward, SEIL plans to expand its sustainability initiatives across districts in southern India.
