Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated on Saturday that the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government had implemented a regime of hardship that impacted all sections of the people and wreaked havoc on the state's economy.
Naidu stated during the address that he was still perplexed by the previous government's five-year term of destruction. He stated that the current government is focused on promoting growth and streamlining all government services to restore development.
During a gathering at an SC Colony, near Gangadhara Nellore mandal headquarters, after distributing pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme to the beneficiaries at their doorstep, the Chief Minister enumerated various welfare initiatives launched by the coalition government.
These include the NTR Bharosa, which benefits over 64 lakh people. Mr. Naidu stated that the government has set aside INR 33,000 crore for disbursing social pensions to aid the poor and underprivileged in the state.
Mr. Naidu stated that the government is prioritizing economic growth and that Andhra Pradesh has achieved a 12.9% growth rate in nine months following the NDA coming to power.
With a focus on introducing the latest technologies in agriculture, horticulture, and related fields, the government deployed drones for fertilizer and pesticide management, he said.
Steps are being taken to establish an industrial park in 2,000 acres in Chittoor district, he added. The state government is preparing to launch the ambitious Thalliki Vandanam and financial assistance for farmers.
These promises form a part of the Super Six campaign pledges made before the elections. Mothers of every student will receive 15,000 annually from May, known as Thalliki Vandanam.
Our goal is to promote sustainable development, economic progress, and social welfare for all sections of society, Mr. Naidu concluded.
