Quess Corp has reported that while hiring from traditional IT services companies remains subdued, there is strong demand for talent from Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and product and engineering companies. CEO Guruprasad Srinivasan shared in an interview with Moneycontrol that hiring demand from IT companies has decreased by 16% year-on-year.
Quess works with around 125 GCCs, which are centralized units within companies that handle functions like IT, finance, or customer support globally to enhance operational efficiency. Srinivasan also noted that the demand in Q4 of the financial year is expected to be modest, as the third-quarter slowdown is partly due to furloughs, which affect hiring during this period.
