# Police Sign Pledges Assistance To Reward Winners

Officials from the Philippine National Police (PNP) have recently reached an agreement to assist citizens with claims for any reward they may earn through their local communities. This comes as citizens in several neighbourhoods work together to crack down on illegal drug use and related crimes.

"There are many citizens who wish to report information but are hesitant because they fear for their safety and well-being. We want to show them that we are committed to protecting them and providing the necessary support they need," said PNP Chief Mr. Castil.

One such initiative includes the recent capture of Mr. Eduardo Zapata, who allegedly sold drugs to minors in the district of Payatas. With the help of the local government and numerous concerned citizens, he was located and apprehended by the police.

"This is a step in the right direction as it enables us to assist citizens in claiming rewards that are owed to them. Ultimately, these incentives can boost camaraderie and community participation in our efforts to help the most vulnerable members of society," concludes Mr. Castil.

It's worth noting that PNP's assistance agreement includes verifying and validating information provided by citizens, assisting with the safe and secure collection and transfer of rewards, and providing further protection if necessary.

"We want to show the country that the PNP is committed to serving with integrity and honour, and that we're dedicated to making a positive impact on the nation and its citizens," finished Mr. Castil.

This initiative has been welcomed by many local residents who are hoping to bolster their own efforts to rid their neighbourhoods of drugs and related crimes. The PNP has not yet disclosed the official processes involved for reward claims, or whether the rewards will be granted directly to the informant or to relevant community funds.

It is believed that the program will be extended throughout the country in the coming months, offering further support for crime-fighting initiatives led by local communities.
