In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking in Nagpur, the crime branch's anti-narcotics squad arrested two individuals and seized around 1kg ganja, along with two mobile phones, valued at Rs37,000. The operation took place on Thursday near Agarwal Godown, Juna Pardi Naka, Bhandara Road.

Acting on a tip-off, the officers laid a trap and apprehended Durgesh Chaurasia (23) and Sunil Vairagade (54). A search in the presence of witnesses revealed the narcotic substance in their possession. The accused admitted to procuring the ganja for sale, implicating a third accomplice, Lalit Srivastava, the alleged mastermind. Srivastava claimed to have brought the narcotics consignment from Tajbagh. A case was registered at Pardi Police Station.
