Mumbai police arrest alleged synthetic narcotics producer Kubbawala Mustafa after deporting him from the UAE. The arrest resulted from a coordinated operation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) through Interpol and Mumbai's crime branch.

The subject, Kubbawala Mustafa, was allegedly responsible for manufacturing mephedrone, a party drug, and distributing it through a drug syndicate. Mustafas' activities led to a police investigation in Mumbai, which recovered 126.141 kg of the drug and confiscated it.

Mustafa fled India and was geo-located to be in the UAE through close follow-ups by the CBI. The CBI published an Interpol Red Notice on November 25, 2024, requesting his arrest and extradition. The UAE authorities accepted the request and deported him, and Mumbai police arrested him at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of Indian authorities to combat drug trafficking and bring wanted individuals to justice.

Mustafa is currently in custody, and further investigations by Mumbai police will likely unfold.
