A man who was mistakenly declared dead in Madhya Pradesh woke up as police tried to move his body after more than six hours. The incident, which took place in the state's Burhanpur district, sparked laughter and disbelief among internet users.

According to reports, police arrived at the scene after receiving information about a man lying motionless on the side of a road in Karhiya Kala village. On arrival, they found the man, identified as Rajendra Singari, lying in a drunken state in the mud by the road.

Assuming him to be dead, the police informed his family members about the death and were preparing to move the body when Singari woke up. "I am alive, sir," the man told the officers present.

The man had fallen into the mud and remained motionless for hours, heavily intoxicated, and lost his balance. He was taken home by police after gaining consciousness.
