Drug abuse continues to be a pressing concern in Indian society, affecting communities across the country. In a show of solidarity, local authorities in Kashmir recently organized awareness rallies to combat the menace.

In a steadfast commitment to combat drug abuse and promote a drug-free society, police in Kupwara organized comprehensive drug awareness rallies in Sogam and Kralpora. These initiatives aimed to educate the public about the perils of drug addiction and galvanize community efforts against this growing menace.

The Police Station Sogam took a rally commencing from Government Degree College (GDC) Sogam to the Main Market Sogam. The event saw active participation from local residents, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Sogam, and a large contingent of students. DySP PC Lolab Raeis Ahmad-JKPS, alongside SHO PS Sogam lead the rally.
